Welcome to YPE Pittsburgh
Young Professionals in Energy (YPE)
is the first and only inter-disciplinary networking and volunteer organization for young people in the global energy industry; a place where bankers can connect with engineers, accountants with geologists and so on. Our mission is to provide a forum for knowledge sharing and camaraderie among future leaders of the energy industry.
The Natural Gas Economy
Governor Corbett supplied a full circle "brass tacks" speech about shale gas and the energy industry to a packed house of energy professionals at the Hilton Garden Inn in Southpointe, Pennsylvania. The Governor highlighted the tremendous benefits the Marcellus and Utica Shales have for this region and state, focusing on employment and continued innovation. Young Professionals in Energy, a 10,000+ member-strong group of professionals from all ends of the energy spectrum hosted the event entitled "The Natural Gas Economy." To say the least, it was a huge success, ending with a standing ovation. http://ypepittsburgh.org/beta/?events=the-natural-gas-economy
YPE Pittsburgh hosts two social networking events per month. The YPE Pittsburgh Crew Change aims to bring the young and experienced energy industry hands together in a relaxed after-hours atmosphere. The Happy Hours will start at 5 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Bring your office mates over for some after-work networking and fun. The sponsors will have an open tab up to a certain limit so come and enjoy their hospitality. Enviro Spud and Drilling
sponsors the 1st Wednesday of the month at The Pittsburgh Bottle Shop in Bridgeville, PA.
